The Office of Water Resources would like the public’s input to provide the best experience for living, boating, and entrepreneurship on the Chain of Lakes and Fox River.
Below are multiple surveys created to help IDNR understand the impacts to changes in water levels.
Flooding Report – https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/1456ae9160d04c6bb3ec3694fb29fe6d?portalUrl=https://IDNR.maps.arcgis.com
This survey allows citizens to report the effects of water levels being too HIGH. It is not meant to be just for significant flood events, but anytime that elevated water levels have an impact. Please be sure to include as much information as possible.
Low Water Impact Report – https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/c5794aaa79e34853b8cd9df48ed6c31f?portalUrl=https://IDNR.maps.arcgis.com
This survey allows citizens to report the effects of water levels being too LOW. It is not meant to be just for detecting underwater obstruction, but also what areas may be too shallow to provide quality recreation. Please be sure to include as much information as possible.
This is the link for the results map for all to view locations of potential issues, depending on the type of watercraft: https://idnr.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/basic/index.html?appid=e0a12bcae4804b3b95b59c11cd791c7b
Economic Impact Report – https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=nwgia7qOPEaE9TFxIQ-QBQKxPd7cXLJOk10jTZLKFWZUMkJFUkgxODJDMkE1RklLUUNTNlI4VzdBTy4u
This final survey allows Businesses to report the economic effects of water levels, whether it be low or high. This survey is intended to put a monetary value on impacts that may not have physical damage values associated with them, i.e. No Wake, Lakes/River Closed, to shallow for people to get their bouts out…
Please know that no personally identifying information is shared with the public. If you select one of the points from the Fox River Ground Impact Map, you will be able to see the only information that is available to the public.
My outreach is limited, so please share this with anyone that is affected. The more, high quality information that the Office of Water Resources has; the better the decisions that can be made about water levels and the effects.
