Truck Driver – CDL

Job Overview:

Join our team as a CDL Truck Driver and play a vital role in preserving and enhancing our Chain O’ Lakes waterways and infrastructure.  This paid position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop practical skills and grow within this industry.

Job Description:

Drive a 10-yard dump to and from jobsites and dump sites in a safe manner. The ability to do light maintenance on the truck assigned to you such as checking oil, grease, lights, pre-trip inspections, washing the truck, have the physical ability to climb in the bed of the truck and shovel if necessary. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned. This will entail 40-50 hours per week for a maximum of 1000 hours. This position will be from May 1 – November 1.  (Some days may require long hours.) Rain days or in between dredging jobs you may not be working and get less than 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Class B CDL with air brakes. Class A will work but not necessary
• Current IDOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Drug free
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Excavation experience preferred, but not necessary
• Commercial driving experience preferred
• Self-starter
• Responsible Team player
• Be able to follow instructions with a can-do attitude
• Punctual Work under minimal supervision

Pay Range:  ($25/hr) – Wages commensurate with experience

Must be full-time and work at least 120 hours prior to being eligible for company benefits
