The following is the Fox River Status update for May 23, 2020:
- It appears that the Fox Lake and the Stratton Dam Tailwater have crested and have started to recede. The current stage levels at Fox Lake and the Stratton Dam Tailwater are 6.35 ft and 6.06 ft, respectively.
- The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting ½” to 1” of precipitation for the next 2 days in the Fox River watershed
- Based on today’s river forecast from the NWS, our estimates show a downward trend for both the inflows and the stage levels at the Fox Lake as well as the Stratton Dam Tailwater. However, as we have witnessed in the past weeks, the trend could change very quickly if the watershed received heavy localized precipitation.
- All gates are completely opened at the Stratton and Algonquin dams.
