Due to the heavy rainfall in Wisconsin, a new update is being issued.

The current inflow forecast from the NWS shows a peak of just over 3100 cfs on Thursday. This is about 6 times the amount of flow before it rained. Since the rain was so far north in the watershed it has allowed time to prepare for its arrival. Gates have been lowered to allow as much flow as possible, while maintaining Summer Pool depths. Currently the lakes are forecasted to peak at just below “No Wake” conditions and the Lower River right at “No Wake”. Since it is so early in the process, these forecasts are likely to change some over the next few days. The Office of Water Resources will continue to monitor the situation and make changes to minimize the overall impact to the system.
